2019 Leading Brands in Government

PRESS RELEASE

Government Executive Media Group Unveils the 2019 Leading Brands in Government

Survey of over 3,400 federal, defense, and state and local government officials identifies the 25 highest performing contractors among government buyers

Washington, D.C. (June 17, 2019)Government Executive Media Group (GEMG), Atlantic Media’s premier public sector division, unveiled the 25 top-performing government contractors, according to the 2019 Leading Brands in Government study, conducted by Government Business Council (GBC), GEMG’s research division.

“We designed the first Leading Brands study in 2015 to better understand the government customer’s opinions of the country’s top contractors,” said GEMG CEO Tim Hartman. “Over the past five years, Leading Brands has consistently raised the bar by evolving our methods of study to recognize the best of the best among government contractors. These companies are setting new standards of excellence in the government marketplace and standing out from the competition.”

GBC surveyed more than 3,400 federal, defense, and state and local government officials on their perceptions of85 contractors for the 2019 Leading Brands study. Respondents were asked to consider criteria including brand familiarity and favorability, as well as eight key attributes identified as highly important to government purchasers — trustworthiness, customer service, experience, expertise, value, innovation, solution customization, and employee care — to ultimately select 25 contractors that perform above the rest.

“While no top brand rode a single attribute to Fast Mover or Leading Brand status, most of those that saw growth credibly boosted perception across trustworthiness, customer service, innovation, and the other key traits,” said GEMG Senior Research Analyst and lead on the 2019 Leading Brands study Igor Geyn. “By understanding the impact of marketing initiatives on brand awareness and perception, and by tangibly aligning themselves with the demonstrated preferences of key demographic groups, this year’s top achievers were able to stand out from the pack.”
